Our ability to communicate effectively is vital to our success in school, on the job, and in our personal relationships. It is critical that problems with speech and/or language be identified and corrected while children are still young The Speech Department offers evaluations and treatment to children as young as eighteen months of age who exhibit:
- language delay
- speech (sound production) delay
- delayed phonological development
- auditory processing problems
- hearing loss
- stuttering
- cleft lip and palate
While the children receive individual speech therapy, the Speech Pathologists work in cooperation with the parents as well as other professionals who are serving the child
In addition to having extensive experience in treating children with speech/language delays, our therapists hold Master’s Degrees in Speech/Language Pathology and are licensed by the State of Ohio. Additionally, they have been awarded the Certificate of Clinical Competence by the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association.
